Kispest Market
We lived near the Kispest Market until the 6th grade of primary school. My mom and I wandered among the vendors on a weekly basis in the bustling market with its peculiar atmosphere. After 30 years, I visited the area again and was surprised to find that nothing had changed. However, chatting with the otherwise very friendly vendors, it turned out that only the elderly visit, and their attendance declines year by year.
The days of the market are numbered. Despite the large and quality selection and unbeatable prices, young people only shop in hypermarkets and large chain stores.
